Q: What information is required in a request for donation?
To request a donation, please fill out the online application form and include a donation proposal (as a PDF attachment).
The donation proposal should include a description of your organization, including history, purpose and activities and a detailed description of the project/program/campaign. The proposal should also include a detailed budget for the project and the amount requested from the Foundation. Annual reports and list of your board of directors and staff may also be submitted.
Q: What kind of files can I attach to the online application form?
All documents should be in PDF format. You may submit a maximum of three PDF files with your application form. The combined attachments cannot be larger than 25MB. PDF files that have password protection enabled or are encrypted cannot be accepted by our website (ie. financial statements). We do not accept other file formats such as doc, xls, jpg.
Q: What are the areas of interest of the Foundation?
The main interests of the Foundation are in the areas of youth, social services, health, education, social entrepreneurship, arts & culture, and environment. The Foundation supports charitable efforts in Quebec and priority is given to Montreal-based charities.
Q: Who may apply for a donation?
The Zeller Family Foundation makes donations to qualified donees under the Income Tax Act Canada. A non-profit organization supported by a Qualified Donee may apply for funding. Unfortunately, we do not consider non-profit organizations that do not meet these two requirements.
Q: What are the submission deadlines?
The submission deadlines are May 10 or November 10. You may only apply once a year.
